For Dangerous, I took inspiration from two different situations, 1st: “the enemy” closing in and 2nd, a rock slide or avalanche.
Constrastingly, for Save, I tried to create a sense of encasement and protection from outside actors.
For my first representation of serious, I tried to invoke a feeling of structure and order through creating closed structures with the ampersand paired with a perfectly even grid. For the second representation, I drew inspiration from negotiation meetings with two separate parties on two sides of a wall.
For Playful, I first used the ampersand to create two shapes, one similar to a ball and another representing a frisbee. To create the ball, I overlayed the ampersands with the right side going in; then, I created an illusion of movement through rotating the “ball” and spacing them increasingly further apart to represent the acceleration a ball. With the second image, I created a frisbee by overlaying the top of the ampersand; then, I created motion through slightly rotating the figure and increasing the size of the figure to indicate the object is coming at you.
